C/C++ Software Developer at Applied CIM Technologies, Inc. - Minneapolis Office

Applied CIM Technologies Inc is seeking a Software Developer to serve as a contributing member of our development group. The chosen candidate will use various tools and methods in the development process of high-end, real-time systems.

Since 1989 Applied CIM Technologies has been a market leader in industrial software solutions. We develop, sell and support a comprehensive suite of solutions for the manufacturing and industrial distribution markets.

Responsibilities

• Designs system level architecture and selects systems related products
• Develops system to system, and business to business integration tools
• Designs software and selects related products for systems interfaces
• Builds software packages for customer delivery
• Plans, schedules and implements the development of server and web compatible database applications
• Performs design, implementation and maintenance of complex, multiple product modules/sub-systems
• Performs complex database design activities
• Writes specifications for new system level software and software enhancements
• Configures and writes system level software to meet approved specifications
• Participates on company product planning

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Math
• 2-5 years solid experience developing in C/C++
• Additional experience a plus with the following:
• SQL
• XML
• Windows Installer/MSI
• Database Development
• Web development
• High performance Multi-threaded applications
• Knowledge of manufacturing environments a plus
• Strong background with designing and implementing high-end data systems
• Familiar with analyzing product requirements and designing solutions accordingly
• Ability to work independently to achieve design and delivery goals is a must
• Desire to stay ahead of trends in technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
